Karachi: A delegation of the Pakistan Youth Parliament (PYP), comprising students from various educational institutions and led by the PYP Sindh Cabinet, visited the office of the Provincial Ombudsman Sindh, Muhammad Suhail Rajput, in Karachi to discuss opportunities for youth engagement, civic awareness, and public outreach.
During the meeting, the delegation briefed the Provincial Ombudsman on the organizational structure, objectives, and ongoing initiatives of Pakistan Youth Parliament, with particular emphasis on youth leadership development, civic education, social welfare, and encouraging young people to play a constructive role in society.
Muhammad Suhail Rajput appreciated PYP’s efforts to empower young leaders and promote awareness among students. He provided an overview of the mandate, jurisdiction, and complaint redressal mechanism of the Office of the Ombudsman Sindh, highlighting its role in providing free and timely resolution of public grievances concerning government departments.
He further explained the various platforms and initiatives through which the Ombudsman Sindh office promotes public awareness, including traditional and social media, its official website, open courts, ambassador programs, and collaborations with social organizations.
The Provincial Ombudsman expressed optimism about strengthening collaboration between Pakistan Youth Parliament and the Office of the Ombudsman Sindh, noting that such cooperation could contribute significantly to expanding public awareness and addressing social issues, particularly those affecting young people.
The meeting was also attended by Secretary Ombudsman Sindh Syed Junaid Ahmed, Registrar Masood Ashrat, Advisor Rehana G. Ali Memon, Director Coordination Imdad Hussain Siddiqui, along with other officials from the Ombudsman Sindh office.
The engagement reflects a shared commitment to strengthening civic awareness, empowering youth, improving public outreach, and fostering constructive institutional collaboration for the betterment of society.
